个人简介
森林保护教研室主任；德国耶拿弗里德里希席勒大学（Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena）访问学者；中国昆虫学会、广东省昆虫学会、广东省林学会及广州市林学会会员。
主要从事瓢虫科，尤其是小毛瓢虫亚科的系统分类及演化、森林和城市湿地昆虫物种多样性监测与评估、林木害虫生态防控等方面的研究。2007~2018年间，对我国西藏、云南、四川、贵州、新疆、内蒙古等26省（区）进行广泛的野外调查和标本采集，行程累计30万公里以上，采集瓢虫标本10 万号以上，描述和发表瓢虫科新种238种。
主持国家自然科学基金、广东省自然科学基金等项目10项；发表相关论文52篇，其中SCI收录论文46篇；出版英文专著2部，中文著作3部；申请专利8项，其中已授权专利6项；参与制定技术标准11项。同时还担任Zootaxa，Zookeys，Insect Science，Journal of Insect Science，Insects，Biodiversity Data Journal，Environmental Entomology，The Coleopterists Bulletin等国际期刊审稿人。
